Our mission at Golden Hills Ranch Equine Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. is to improve the quality of life for all horses.  We are a non profit 501(c)(3)  publicly funded horse rescue and our mission is to save as many horses as we can.  We are committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of horse and equine suffering from abuse or neglect and to find homes for those best suited to be with someone else. We also aim to improve the public awareness and knowledge of the standards of care necessary to take care of the horse both financially and physically through educating the public on the proper care, responsible horse ownership and all related issues involving equines.
Front Range Equine Rescue began in 1997 and was incorporated as a Colorado non-profit on 8/1/97. Front Range Equine Rescue began as an all volunteer organization with Board members providing the initial foster homes. A small self-care facility soon housed several of the incoming rescue horses as well. Over the years, Front Range has been able to increase its capacity and currently owns a 40 acre facility in Larkspur, CO which was purchased in 2006. Horses are kept at five to six other private locations in the region.   Front Range Equine Rescue, P.O. Box 307, Larkspur, CO 80118

About Hopeful Haven from a fan: "Hopeful Haven director, Deborah Barlow, since Hurricane Rita devastated the S. Louisiana area, single handedly raised enough money to feed over 400 horses and 3200 head of cattle from Sept through the following April in the LA Parrish that was hit the hardest."

We have been created for the assurance
of the well being of equines.  No matter the size, age or breed.
We are an all volunteer organization that is solely
dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and placement
of unwanted, neglected and abused equines in the state of Louisiana .
We do this by accepting unwanted horses from individuals,
purchasing horses from auctions, assisting law enforcement
by means of providing a safe haven for the horse until further notice.
We accept all cruelty, neglect and seizure cases regardless of the situation.
Those that would like to donate their horses must meet
certain criteria based on the ability of the equine to be placed
due to our limitation of foster homes and funds.
1) To rescue horses and other hooved animals in distress, treating each animal with compassion and respect while acting in the animal's best interest; and 2) To educate the public on the welfare of hooved animals. Minnesota Hooved Animal Shelter
